The Cook’s Library is so pleased to bring back to the store, professional pastry chef and baking teacher, CINDY MUSHET signing her new book THE ART AND SOUL OF BAKING.

Cindy will be signing her book on Saturday, November 22nd, from 1:00-2:30PM at The Cook’s Library located at 8373 W. Third Street in Los Angeles.

In this new book, culinary authority Sur La Table has teamed up with Cindy to create the ultimate book for bakers. From tarts and cakes and delicious cookies to more complex recipes like crusty breads and lighter-than-air soufflés, this book is a private baking class at home. With beautiful photography and more than 250 recipes, and information on baking ingredients and equipment, Cindy Mushet has written a beautiful book that is sure to become a favorite n your kitchen.

Cindy has been a friend of the store for years and we couldn’t be more excited for her!

Acclaimed chef ERIC RIPERT will be back in Los Angeles signing copies of his new book,
ON THE LINE: Inside the World of Le Bernardin. Eric will be signing his book at
The Hollywood Farmer’s Market on Sunday, December 7th from 9:00 – 11:00AM.
You’ll love reading about the inner workings of a top restaurant. The book details everything from how a kitchen is organized to the real cost of the food and the discipline it takes to achieve culinary perfection on the plate almost 150,000 times a year.
The Hollywood Farmer’s Market is located at the intersection of Selma and Ivar in Hollywood.

Jose Andres, the host of PBS’s MADE IN SPAIN, celebrates the incredible variety and inventiveness of traditional and contemporary Spanish cooking. Bon Appetit named him “Chef of the Year” in 2004 and he runs seven restaurants in the Washington DC area and will soon open the restaurant Bazaar in the new SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.
